It's not just the eBookwise owners lovin' Nick. He's been very helpful in the Kindle forum as well.

Happy Birthday Nick!

T H A N K S ! ! !

I wish I could back date this post to yesterday to show I "was" in the know and accepted all your well wishes ON my birthday! Thanks dreams!

Usually it's Happy (belated) Birthday but in my case it's (belated) thanks!

Recently, another of my passions, besides gadgets/toys, has been genealogy and I find it's taking a larger chunk of my "free" time these days. Once I've got to where I need my Family Tree to be, then you'll see some more of me and hopefully some wonderful thingees from me.

Cheers all!

Happy Belated Birthday, Nick!

I like to think I can stay on top of things, but with the holidays coming up and all the stuff that seems to fall on my shoulders and no one else's (I'm still not sure how I and I alone got to be Santa's helper ) it's hard to keep up with my posting.

I hope your day was special and that your next year is filled with happiness.

Well, ......

It seems my two passions of late (Mobileread.com and genealogy) have "crossed" paths somehow today.

I just got word from a long lost relative in Grass Valley, CA (only recently re-discovered) that he talked with DaleDe today after I mentioned it to him that I knew Dale was from there also. They only live 6 miles apart and Dale lives near his daughter's house. His daughter would be my third cousin!

Anyone else have a neighbor of Sicilian heritage that came from Salemi or Vita, Province of Trapani, Sicily? It never hurts to ask...

I definitely don't have any Sicilian heritage, though, I did live near Chicago through my growing up years and spent a lot of time at the pizza joints!

Seriously, it is so strange how small the world really is. They made a party game out of six degrees of separation but it seems to hold true more often than not. Good luck with your family search, Nick. My husband and his dad have been tracking their family. One of his ancestors (great x4 grandfather)had 4 wives and 24 children. Some people just don't know when to say ENOUGH!

I know what you mean, my great x3 grandfather had seven children (only one survived childbirth, my great x2 grandfather) with his first wife who died upon the birth of their 7th child and then remarried and "produced" another 9 children with his second wife. So two wives and 16 kids!!!

Half the clan stayed in Sicily and the other half emigrated to Texas circa 1900.

Hey this is fun, perhaps we should have a genealogy sub-forum...
