Anti-Virus for Palm?
I just got a new TX and really love the web browsing ability. Which leads me to wonder if I should have some sort of anti-virus protection on PalmOS 5.4. Is anti-virus necessary for a Palm device? If so, does anyone have any recommendations?

Not necessary. There were a couple of proof of concept virii a number of years ago but they have not been seen in the wild in ages. You need only be concerned with email attachments (such as MS Word/Excel documents) that you transfer to your computer. If you're really paranoid, Symantec would be delighted to have some of your money.

Thanks for the info Dick Tracy, it is good to know. I did look around and it looks like most of the AV development for Palm ended at PalmOS 4.

You almost certainly don't need AV on a Palm. If you're downloading files to your Palm and running them directly a lot, then the most I'd suggest would be keeping a full backup of everything on your Palm, so you can restore completely if something does go wrong, which is very unlikely.
