Sunrise / CSS / Wired.com -> help wanted, please

Hello everyone,

Wired.com just updated its layout & broke the links to the 'print' versions of the articles.

It seems the print version has now the same URL as the screen version. Layout differences are treated by css stylesheet.

=> Any ideas how to handle CSS with Sunrise?

I understand Sunrise XP will handle it, but it says it's not (yet) ready to replace Sunrise?

There will be limited CSS parsing functionality in a future, post-v2.0 release of Sunrise XP, the main purpose of which is to handle "print" stylesheets. Don't expect anything before the summer, though.

Wait until summer ? That's tough :-(

The only workaround I found so far, is going through Google Mobile . That's far from perfect...

I'm not sure why it's not working with Sunrise, but I do have a script that makes it work with Sunrise XP. (Will be included in alpha 3, due later today.) The printable versions do have different URLs.

For instance

Here's a pre-configured SXL for Wired News. Simply set the destination and update the documents. It only works correctly with alpha 3.
