To RobertB

Hi RobertB

I was recently looking into buying one of the Astak readers and therefore went to the Astak website. The website is really horrible. Lot's of flashing images. They can be a real problem for epileptics.
Besides, in my opinion, such a poorly designed website will probably put a lot of people off from buying an Astak reader as it comes accross as if the company doesn't put much effort into presenting themselves, which is a bit worrying.

Sorry for being so irrational I just got really frustrated with the website
Robert

The main website for the product isn't so bad.

Thank you Xerxes, I wasn't aware about this website. I always went directly to the Astak site.
This one is a lot better.

But the main website does not have provision for International orders, only for US and Canada. For International you need to go to Astak.com. Other than that I think the website is fine.

They should fix that. I strongly agree with the OP. Funny thing, the main company website says a lot about the company to some people. And the main site screams, trinkets and conveys less nice electronics that you would want to buy from. That's why someone folks try to knock the product as cheap Taiwanese product or something. That and ignorance. But then almost all the other reader were made down the street from the Astak devices. Not knocking the products, just the site. It is a little everywhere and feels seedy to navigate and I almost turned away until I saw the slightly better ezreader sight. I think it's the way all the products are just jumbled in together on the main sight. They need to be categorized and roped off.

Also too much flash for my liking. When I was learning web design at school, I abhorred all things flash. I use to love formatting and presentation. I think most companies that aren't Sony, are rocking some odd or either fugly sites. Amazon presents the normal store format for the Kindles site, can't knock or praise them for that.

I hate the EZReader.com flash only front door also.
At this point, I am looking for newer support info, having to mouse over to kill the Intro bugs me.

Robertb could you get the latest revision to the manual added to the "Downloads page"
IMHO Firmware is only one kind of download
