Greetings from The Librum
The Librum restores a lot of books into ebook format.
At present, we can only support MAC and Windows. We use several packages depending on what the work is. We need all three OSs. We have quite a few Linux-ish users, and the emulators do not always do well. Especially with FlipAlbum and FlipAlbum II. We are looking for a ebook software that will support our needs. -) Limited xx day use version for downloadable trial copies, with full content protection. -) Unlimited use version for registered versions, with some content protection. Printing allowed, but not direct manipulation of content. -) Desired, but not required, CD support, as many folks buy the products on disk, but some want download. I.E. autostart on all three platforms. -) Desired, but not required, internal readers, so users do not have to go elsewhere to get the needed applications/readers. Other platforms would be nice. -) Desired, but not required, an internal to the archive means to send a payment to paypal account, and upon clearing the transaction, a means to 'unlock' the work. -) Support for gif/jpg page scans, like pdf. With resize. -) Support for html works. -) Due to hardware restrictions, development platform is XP SP3. We have some OLD scanners, etc. And we really do not want to write the drivers and software to support them in another venue. $$$.
