I'm not sure what whatshouldireadnext.com does.

But if it advises on possible reads based on previous favourites, then GNOD might be worth a go.

You could try naming a couple of your favorite books in this thread and seeing what mobileread members come up with.

Librarything.com

there is a link where you can just search for a book and it will give you the recommendations but I never bookmarked it because I'm a member.

just search for a book and look at the recommendations halfway down the page.

or join. add books to your library and you will get a recommendations page of hundreds of books.

I just finished the Scott Peterson / Laci Peterson case books by various authors. I found them intriguing, altho the subject approach was slightly different in each book.

I never knew about this website. I will definitely check it out. Thanks for sharing! I love finding book related websites. One I found, that's kind of different is called Literature Map. You type an authors name and a bunch of authors names show up, the one you typed is in the middle, and the closer the other authors are to the middle, it's more likely you'll like their books as well. It's a pretty cool website. I've found alot of new authors from that website.

I read most of those books too. I read the one that her mom wrote, that Scott's sister wrote, and that Amber Frey Wrote, as well as others. There were quite a few. I think there's only 1 that I haven't read because I haven't been able to get my hands on it yet. I read these a couple years after all of that happened. Of course I wasn't interested at the time. I only live about an hour away from where they lived too.

Have you read Homicide by David Simon? He spent a year shadowing the Baltimore Homicide Squad and wrote the book that was the basis of Homicide: Life on the Streets. It's a great book.

You could also try http://www.literature-map.com/ . It works with authors though not titles.
