Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums, and to e-books in general. I've been writing pretty much my whole life, but only just recently got to the point where I feel comfortable sharing my work with others. I have one short/novella up, hope to have more soon. If you're interested, I've got a website: MoxieMezcal.com

I also just got my first e-book reader, a Sony Pocket Edition PRS-300. I've been enjoying filling it up with stuff from Feedbooks and Smashwords. I've discovered so many brilliant independent writers there, I'm having trouble finding enough time to read them all.

So, a little bit more about me personally...
I'm 28 years old and live in California.
I'm a Mexican-American glitter-punk transvestite with a bit of a potty mouth.
I love Urban Decay make up and Johnny Walker Black Label whiskey.
I have a bad habit of using bravura to mask my insecurities.
I think the most beautiful place I've ever visited was Madrid.
I always listen to music when I write and keep a bass guitar next to my desk for when I get stuck.
And I'm really looking forward to getting to know all of you!

hi moxie, i'll just reiterate my welcome here ! we're glad you've joined us. as i said, we love meeting writers and it's great to see more and more of you getting interested in ebooks ; we love our devices here but they'd be pointless without all the great books we can read on them. i see you've already discovered feedbooks and smashwords, two great places to get books ; take a look also at the free books we've got available here (click on the e-books link in the blue nav bar at the top of the page), for sony you want epub format or the sony proprietary format lrf, but using calibre (free library management app developped by our very own kovid goyal) you can convert many formats to what you need.

thanks for all the details about yourself ; i think the most beautiful city i've ever visited is prague, and for gorgeous landscapes it's hard to beat the south-west of france, but i've not yet been to madrid so maybe i'll change my mind.

i love music too, one of my favourite threads on this forum is "what are you listening to right now" where i've discovered a lot of bands that i now love.

anyway, welcome again to the madness ! just dive right in, you'll see we're a very friendly (if somewhat crazy) lot. watch out though, it's addicting. especially the lounge.

i'm looking forward to discovering your writing ! i've got your book from feedbooks on my sony liseuse already ; i'm planning to read it next.
