Making Bookmarks?

H'lo there,

The PRS-600 is my first venture into a dedicated eBook reader; I've previously used my iPod touch, and before that an ancient ipaq!

The device is fantastic, but I can't find a 'bookmark' function anywhere; if I stop reading a book and just power off, of go back to home, then that's fine - I can 'continue reading' where I left off.

However, if I go out of one book into another, and go through a few pages, it loses the place I was at in the other book.

Is there a bookmark feature? It seems pretty well hidden if there is...

Double tap the top right corner.

This is really odd; it isn't responding to that. I can tap and highlight words to bring up the dictionary, but double tapping (fast, slow, etc.) in the top right corner of the page has absolutely no effect :/

Try using the stylus and wait a moment. Sometimes there's a lag when bookmarking.

If you have chosen to hide notes i the Options menu then you cannot bookmark pages.

Unhappy

Hi reech, sorry about your trouble. I do not have my 600 yet, but I do have a 700. It will not bookmark in the upper right hand corner either with tapping. I don't know how much the 600 differs from the 700, but on mine, if you press the options button a menu bar appears at the top of the screen. Neer the right hand side is a book mark icon. It is an open book with the top corner of the left hand page folded down. select that with your finger or stylus and the book mark should appear at the top right hand corner of the page you are at.

That was it - I'd hidden the notes option, 'cos it was confusing me.

I can now 'dog ear' pages, which then saves the dog-eared page in the Notes area.

I can then go back into the Notes area, to jump back to that book, if I'm flicking between a couple.

Thank you!

Hey reech, you got it! There is nothing worse than having a new toy and not being able to operate it in an optimal manner.

actually there is something worse. Having a new toy and not being able to operate it at all (such as some topics about the psr600 freezing for no apparent reason)
