Sheduled News

Hi All,

I'm new to this so please forgive me if I'm doing this wrong, just point me in the right direction.

I've just got a Sony 505 and downloaded Calibre. Stupidly I scheduled a lot of news downloads which take forever. I live in a remote part of Cyprus and need to go to an internet cafe to get a connection.

This has generated a few questions. :-

1, How do I remove some of them.
2, Can I prioritise them.
3, Is there a user guide that I can download onto the PC so that I can help myself. (I did spot one in xml but suspect that it was corrupted as it wouldn't open and can't find it again). PDF would be great.

Calibre seems to do everything I want, so thanks. I just need to get a grip of things.

All scheduled recipes are listed under Scheduled, where you can remove them as well.

Hi, and thanks for the reply. I've clicked the link in the section

"An e-book version of this User Manual is available in EPUB format. Because the User Manual uses advanced formatting, it is only suitable for use with the calibre e-book viewer."

and get this.

I'm using Internet Explorer V7.

The calibre manual is not meant to be viewed in IE.

Download it to a .epub file and the use the Calibre viewer and it works fine. You may have to right-click the link and select the "Save Target As"option to get IE to download the file without trying to interpret its contents.

As well as working in the Calibre viewer, the downloaded file also seemed to work OK if I converted it to LRF using Calibre and viewed it on my Sony PRS-500.

Hi and thanks, it wasn't downloading as an epub file before but seems fine now.
