LIT converstion to LRF & EPUB flawed

I apologize in advance if this problem has been addressed in another post, but after searching the posts, I couldn't find the same errors.

Initiallly, I noticed that some newer lrf files that I added to my PRS-700 would not open and would lock up my reader. I then checked the files directly in calibre and noticed that even though the conversion from LIT to LRF was accomplished, the output rendered a file size of 1KB. I have tried several times to render the files but I receive the same results. I even tried to output to another format (EPUb) but had the same results.

Does anyone have a suggestion for resolving this issue?

Are these commercial LIT's? Will the Lit explode Ok with ConvertLit? Are you still able to convert a Lit you've had work previously and have it come out Ok?

The lit files are noncommercial. I haven't used convertlit... What I have done is tried locating the lit file from different sources...did that and still wouldn't convert. Then I decided to see if I could find the book in a different source. Downloaded and converted an Html file and I have the same results. I cannot output to lrf from lit or html...

I also tried re-downloading and installing calibre, but still cannot output to lrf.

Update...

I converted the files (lit to lrf) on my laptop. The laptop runs Windows XP and the Calibre version is 5.9. My desktop runs Vista 64 and Calibre is 6.10.

On my desktop, while checking out Windows Task Manager I noticed that there are several calibre processes running

calibre.exe *32
calibre-parallel.exe *32
calibre-parallel.exe *32
calibre-parallel.exe *32
calibre-parallel.exe *32
calibre-parallel.exe *32
calibre-parallel.exe *32
calibre-parallel.exe *32
calibre-parallel.exe *32

Could this be part of the problem?

Problem resolved! After reading one of your tickets (#3332), I turned off Debugging and everything is working.
