Check to see if there any leftover HotSync DLLs in your Windows or Windows\System32 directory. These might interfere with the loading of the DLLs.

If you're running SP2, try running the installer with Windows Firewall turned off.

Thanks guys!
I tried both things together and it worked :-) I did have a couple leftover files in my windows directory. You would have thought that someone would have come up with a decent installer/uninstaller by now :-p By the way, any idea what PalmCntl.ocx does? It's an ActiveX control, but for what? |

I'm not entirely sure what all the changes are for in the latest version. I've been trying to figure this out too.

Linking to the HotSync DLLs from a conduit can be problematic in some cases. Some applications simply dump the HotSync DLLs in the Windows directory to get their conduit to load correctly. The result is that over time you get stuck with multiple, incompatible versions of the DLLs.
