peeking in from sin city

hey gang!

DAMN! it's hot here! the hotel is gorgeous!!!! I'm learning a fair amount, but will be spending a fair amount of time in the lab in addition to classes over the next few days.

my newly issued work credit card was not working last night, so stuck fairly close to home. probably turned out for the best as the bathroom flooded (without my help) and there were hot and cold running fixer and cleaner people for quite awhile after that. the food is incredible! I'm going to blow up I can tell!

we are all going to cirque de solei (sp?) thursday. I've never been and am pretty excited!

y'all behaving?

Cirque du Soleil. You'll enjoy it a lot! (they're from here, I saw a couple of their shows, they are incredible)
Eat as much as you can! Oh, and is the credit card working now? You got to be able to enjoy it a little! Have fun in the oven!

Somehow the old gritty version felt more honest. Today it just seems like an extension of Disneyland (with better food.)

Wow! you lucky duck! I know you'll have a fantastic time at CdS! I agree with WDE-- eat lots

Enjoy! (if you're outside walking the strip, walk close to the buildings.... the a/c coming out the doors is nice!)

I'm living proof that what happens in Vegas dosen't always stay in Vegas

. I picked up some kind of bug. Saturday night I started the hot/cold aching bit, then started throwing up about 5 sunday morning and that continued until almost noon Sunday. I came >< that close to missing my flight, and was soooo worried I was going to continue getting sick. I got home a little before 9 Sunday night, and was very drifty on the way home. when I got up for work yesterday, the aches, sweats and chills and the WORST headache convinced me to stay home. I think the fever broke sometime last night (but I just started sweating again

) the headache is still bothersome. I'm at work, but not sure how long I'll make it. I at least need to get my paperwork filled out so I don't get stuck with the 5K bill that will be on my govt card!

If you push yourself too much, you'll take longer to recover, and your work will suffer more. Therefore go pass the germs on to the two effs, put your paperwork in, and go home!
