Help! - I need a plumber!

My pipes are leaking (just a couple feet from the meter). I need a recommendation for a reliable plumber in Prince William County, VA. Can anyone help?

I hope you get it fixed quick! My neighbor just put in all new wood floors and tile. (We have concrete foundations in the homes here.) A water pipe broke in the concrete foundation under his new floors and flooded the whole house..

We went with MyPlumber becuase they were the only one who could come out today without charging overtime.

good news- his books will not get wet as he likly has replace them all the ebooks.

with the experience of my leaky window fresh in my mind, i hope you get it fixed soon !! with not too much water to clean up from the floor... is it fixed yet ?

The house is fine. The leak was near the meter, quite some distance from the house. He patched it, at a cost of $1300. The supply line needs to be replaced, but we don't have $5,900.

The problem was caused by the really crappy plastic pipes installed when the house was built (35 years ago). The type of pipes used were illegal everywhere else in the US. The reason they could be used in Prince William County, IMO, is that the developer paid a lot of bribes.

P.S. If your water company offers pipe insurance, take it. I wish we had.
