Smile First Time

This is my first time here as a member. I have always enjoyed reading the posts, but never subscribed. But, here I am finally. I am an urgent care/emergency department technician in Northern California. It is the funnest job I have ever had. I am also attending college on line. I am majoring in psychology and graduate this coming Feb (I'm suppose to be studying right now). When I'm not doing school work, which is nearly all the time, I am reading (e books of course). Ebooks... I should say something about ebooks, 'cause that's why I'm here after all. I have owned an EBW 1150 which I really enjoyed, but large books would not load to it well and I am not one of those who is really savvy and can hack. I now have a prs 505, which I primarily use, and a prs 700 which I have so I can annotate Word documents. I am getting an ECTACO jet reader as it now supports various formats and has something which my 1150 had and I missed on my Sony readers, a dictionary! Hope this wasn't too exhaustive

Hi Journier, welcome to MR!

You'll find out "too exhaustive" is not possible around here

Welcome to MobileRead, Journier!

I, too, have both the EBW1150 and the 700 and I definitely miss the dictionary on my Sony. I am praying for the day Sony comes out with a firmware update that includes a dictionary look-up capability. That has been a huge topic of discussion on the 700 forum since the device hit the market.

Don't worry about being too verbose here, when it comes to discussing our favorite topics, ebooks and readers, we tend to be a "wordy" lot! Don't be shy about jumping into the fray, we're happy to have you with us.

Happy reading!

No kidding, some of us post individual posts that can take an hour to type, two hours to read, and until the next day to understand.

Verbose doesn't even touch us. Welcome to MR. Do join us in the Lounge if you want to lose your mind entirely.
