I feel like this guy's art needs more promotion

So, I just thought I'd do that here. I hope this doesn't qualify as objectionable, if it is, then someone just delete it ... thanks.

There is this artist (named Vlad) who creates some of the most amazing artwork. It is beautiful, whimsical, breath taking ..... just wow stuff.

There are a lot of pieces that are available as free wallpaper. However, I sprang for the lifetime membership (you get signature free artwork, and higher quality resolution downloads).

There are thousands of wallpapers on his site. You could change your wallpaper every day for a few years and never see the same thing twice.

Anyway .... I highly recommend it. It's worth looking at even if you don't sign up ... unless you are into porn, then I would say skip it, because there isn't anything even remotely like that there.

I have downloaded that one as well. It really is the perfect wallpaper for someone who loves books.

I also love some of his photos of Siberia and Europe, and the one he drew of the building of the Eiffel Tower (which, if you compare it to the drawing of "Bob" the cat right next to it, is essentially the same shape ... that just cracks me up).

I also like that he has several tutorials on his site which take you step by step through how he created some of his work. They really are so helpful at improving your own Photoshop skills.

Wow cool stuff. Is that Queen Zelda in the "How the Internet Works", sending a minion out to do her bidding?

Minion?? Not me. I'd be a freaking failure as a minion. Executive assistant, now that I'd be great at. However, I keep getting stuck in executive positions, which is not really where the bliss is, just the bucks.

Crap.

Anyone here ever see the animated movie "Twice Upon A Time"? That had one of the best minion depictions ever. Rudy and the Minions.

I've got a DVD of it. Had to make it myself because it only aired once about 20 or so years ago, and then it just disappeared. Music and everything .... gone in some idiot legal dispute. Farking attorneys!!

This art work is great - I have sent the link to a few friends I know will appreciate it. Thanks for posting this as I wouldn't have found it by myself!

Not my kind of art. I much prefer this artist's work -- http://www.carolynedlund.com.

(Of course, it probably also matters that she's my wife )

Very lovely paintings, especially if you like pastoral scenes. I like to paint, but I've probably sold all of two of my paintings over the years, and my wallpapers are free for downloading. I doubt my paintings are a tenth as good as your wife's.

But as far as computer wallpaper goes, I don't think there are many better than Vlad. His stuff just blows me away.

OH, I LOVE Vlad's work! I have a bunch saved on my computer both here and at work. There is something about it...humorous and some other word that escapes me at this moment.

Richard, Carolyn's paintings are so very wonderful...what a great talent she has. These look just like photographs. I'm always impressed to see such realistic portrayals of nature. Thanks for sharing.

To RickyMaveety

Thank you for the link to Vladstudio. Have downloaded a few wallpapers to my PC.
Sent an eCard to my niece. She's mad into horses. I found a really nice one and sent it to her. Will have a more in depth look at the site over the weekend.
Thanks again.

Well, and for iPhone/iTouch owners who want some nice and free wallpaper for your devices, I just noticed that all of his work is available for free in a 320x480 format specifically for the iPhone.

So, now, I'm going back over all of the stuff I collected and redownloading it in that resolution for when I get bored with my wallpaper there.

Oh, and I feel I should point out that all of the wallpaper is searchable by key word, so if you want to see horses, just type that in at the search box and you'll find some beautiful stuff.
