PRS 505 shop in Belgium?

Hello. I have been reading these forums for a while now, and the more I read the more confused I am. But OK, I don't want to wait any longer for the perfect device. I would love to have a 9.7 device like Kindle DX (you lucky americans!) since I have so many programming/computing PDFs on my hard drive, but I've decided to buy a 6 inch reader now and later a bigger one in the future, when the prices will be lower. Then the Sony will be in my bag and the "DX" type at home (I like reading in bed, specially late into the night, when there is silence and you get more absorbed by the imagination)...
Does anybody know a shop in Belgium that actually has the Sony PRS 505 in stock? This week I wanted to order it from Amazon.fr, only to see that they no longer have it. Arghh, it's not my fault I'm paranoid if everybody is against me!
If there is a shop where I can buy it, I can drive tommorow and just take it, I'm tired of reading online reviews of how great these devices are.

P.S. Since this is my first post, I want to say that you seem to have a nice community here, helpful and with some great knowledge (not only about ebook readers).
P.P.S. Be gentle with my English, it's not my first language, even that I use it everyday.

I had a look in the sony online store (belgium) and it seems that they don't sell it there. So I checked the online store for France and Germany and they both do. I guess it might mean that you have to pop over the border if you want to see it before you buy.

Sorry I couldn't be of any more help.

Thank you for your reply. I have been searching for that ebook reader for a few days now (in Belgium), but couldn’t find one.
So it’s either an online shop like Amazon.fr or a few hours car drive over the border (north, east, south…). Not a bad idea in fact, tomorrow it’s Saturday and nothing planned. I guess the closest German city is Aachen.
But ok, now to find a shop selling it there, that’s another problem…
Best regards,

I've provided a link to the online store below. You can search for local dealers from there.

http://www.sony.de/product/rd-reader-ebook/prs-505

Good luck in your search.

Nice, I was on the same page (about the dealer locator) when I saw your reply. Ah, this would have been a good time to follow my parents' advice about learning German when I was a child, but no luck today. There are a few resellers listed, and I'm wondering now if in the results there are the shops actually selling the PRS-505 or general Sony products (possibly including the ebook reader).
Thank you again.

http://www.pdashop.be/ - They sell the Bebook, Bookeen and iRex devices and have a shop in Antwerp in case you prefer a bit of hands-on first. I know they don't do Sony devices but any shop that does ebook readers should get a bit of support from us.

AFAIK, the only European countries where the PRS-505 has been officially "released" so far, and hence is available in shops, are the UK, Ireland, France, and Germany. I believe that it's being launched in Spain too in the near future.

It will be launched at the end of the summer (I presume at around september) in the Netherlands as well.
