Opera Available for Treo

We cannot confirm the legitimacy of this release, so please download at your own risk.

Palm Addicts is reporting that the Opera web browser is now available here. "Opera, one of the best browsers on earth has FINALLY released a version for our Treo. We now have Opera Mini for both the Treo 600 and the Treo 650. I downloaded and installed it on my 650, and have to say I am liking what I see so far."

When will we finally get a general Palm OS version? That's one thing I'd buy and/or download the moment it was released, if it works anything like the Zaurus version of Opera... :/ I guess I'm stuck with Netfront for a while longer... (Netfront's not bad, but it just cannot compare with Opera on my Zaurus...)

Wow...I can't believe someone actually liked it. I found it almost unusable. It would constantly skip links and 60% of the pages refused to load. The bottom bar takes up a lot of precious screen real estate along with other negatives. I promptly deleted it from my Treo.

Doesn't look "official" to me. Maybe they didn't know?

A PPC version (not WM-Smartphone which is already officially available) is also leaking the Net somewhere. Check out this site which is showing some screenshots of Opera for Windows Mobile running on a Fujitsu Pocket Loox 720 Pocket PC with VGA.
