Newbie's Makeshift Case

Hey everyone,
I have been lurking on these boards for quite a while gaining a lot of knowledge. Last year with thehelp of this board I bought a PRS-505 and I love it, when the Kindle 2 came out I considered it and thanks to the people of Mobileread I was convinced to give the Kindle a whirl. It arrived on Thursday evening and I have to say I am in love with my Kindle as well. The one thing I for got though, is that the Kindle comes "nekked". I forgot to get a case and I wanted my baby protected.
I thought I may share with you guys what I did so if any others want to clothe their Kindles on the cheap temporarily this may be one way for them to go. First I went to Wal-Mart and bought a 7-9" neoprene netbook case for $7.00. Then I inserted the Kindle sideways and folded the case over and secured the flap over itself. It is kind of hard to explain so I will post pics. I like the protection and may hold off buying a leather book cover for now.

Thanks for the help and info all the posters at mobileread have provided me whilst I lurked.

That is a pretty cool idea there Kikar, I probably wouldn't have thought to just roll it up on itself. I'm one of those people who automatically start cutting, stitching and gluing stuff to get it how I want lol.

Thanks, funny thing is I was trying to see where I needed to cut and sew to make it fit when I realized if I folded it over I got double the padding. It also saved my lazy butt from extra work. Laziness is the mother of ingenuity.
