I've been reading this forum for a while & I guess it is right that I introduce myself.
I am new to digital books & I think from what I have learnt here that I will settle for a Sony 505 (when I get my tax rebate!), unless that is you think I am making the wrong choice.

Hello Rog:

I purchased the Sony 505 for my wife and she has been extremely pleased with it so far. My belief is that you will be happy with it, although I've heard conflicting reports about whether silver is in fact the best. Some say blue, others say red. Maybe you're color blind and it won't make a bit of difference.

Hi Dixiegal, Jinlo, Cassidym & Toomanybooks and thanks for the welcome & comments.

I noticed there are opinions re the colour here
which I get depends what is available when I have the spare cash. Though I think it will likely be silver.

Can't wait as reading on my netbook is tiring on the eyes & having tried the 505 there is no comparison.

Yes I concur. I recently took an IQ test before getting the silver, and one just after. Amazingly, just before I got the silver I was classified as "Dullard" and just after I recieved the Silver Sony PRS 505 they upgraded me to "Devastatingly Gorgeous and Having the Brains of a Super Genius". Coincidence? I think not!

Humm... I think that a decimal point is missing there. Wasn't it suppose to be "add an additional 50.5" IQ points with the purchase of a Silver Sony?.

I know that the *BLUE* one comes with the "add an additional 505" IQ points.

I think a 505 is a superb choice! Congrats on such a smart pick No matter what color you get, just choosing the 505 proves your IQ is super high....

I think the Sony prs-505 is the RIGHT CHOICE! Just for the record, mine is blue. But I kind of wish I would've gone with the red...such a bold, vibrant color. Oh well, there's always the next one!

You can while away the time by acquiring a library of free ebooks for your Sony. Then you can fill it as soon as you get it. I recommend starting with the ebooks form this site. They are nicely formatted and look great on the Sony.
