505 Collections

Forgive me if this is in the wrong place. I have a question about building a collection.

1. I clicked on collections in the computer listing. I followed the direction to rename the collection (in my case Crochet), I then dropped my crochet patterns into the "collection". I can see them listed.

2. Now what do I do to get the collections to import to the 505. On the e-reader no collections are listed. I can't drag and drop???

What do I do. As you can probably tell, I am definitely not tech oriented. Any help appreciated and should be in non-technical language. PS I'm 74 but I really love my reader.

Hi Tessie,
You should be able to drag your collection from the ebook library to your reader. Connect your 505 to your computer and open the software. The reader should be listed on the left side of the page. Just click on the crochet collection and drag it to the reader. This should work, let us know how you get on.

I had to make collections on my reader. Click on the reader icon and *then* do the plus button to add collections. I don't do collections on my computer, just on the reader and the sd card.

Hmmm, that's odd. I've just tried it on mine and it works. When you click and drag, make sure you drop it right on top of the 'reader' word. Are you getting a red circle with a line through it?

If that doesn't work, you can also create the collection in the reader, as GraceKrispy suggests, then drag the patterns to your new folder in the reader.

Creating a collection on the reader worked nicely. Thank you to all of you. I'm sure I will have more questions down the way.

You can also create the collection on the software, under the reader, go to Sync, and check the collection you want to put on the reader
