GoodReads integration to PW4
Hello,

I tried to connect my GoodReads account because I wanted my Kindle to update the reading progress to GR automatically, but it didn't do so.

FYI, I side load my ebooks from Calibre since I convert epubs. So I guess in order for the reading progress (or anything) to be updated to GR, it needs to be ebook purchased from Amazon, am I correct?

You can manage Goodreads status (Want To Read, Currently Reading, Read) for anything on your GR shelves on your Kindle, but in this case you need to use Search Goodreads to find and Add it. The integration is not available for side loaded books.

Unless you sideload your books as KFX and put in the correct ASIN on the metadata. Does not work 100% of the time, but it did work for me when I was still usb sideloading books.

Ok, not worth the effort and keeps my Kindle free of social media distractions. I update GR on my cellphone.

I use GR as a personal trophy showcase only so not a big deal
