New to Calibre, could someone clarify some things?

Hi,

My collection of Ebooks has grew lately and I decided to organize it a bit. I found Calibre and it is quite amazing how good this software is! Though I did encounter some problems in version 0.5.9. Oh, is there a way to see the list of upcoming changes? is it the list of the milestone tickets or is there more?

So the problem is:
my comic books don't work at all. CBR, CBZ, rar or zip - cbz returns the cover but not the first file (the files inside are numbered 00.jpg, 01.jpg). Should it work in Vista?

Being relatively new to Calibri I don't understand how cover browser should work with many books in my library. Should I type a query first? Scrolling through a large collection takes much time (It doesn't seem to be able to scroll faster) and clicking on a far cover only moves one book per click

I also feels like the covers could differ in size so a bigger book could be spotted more easily in a row of smaller books. Should/could I create a ticket with that?

Above all I should say because this software works really good and its great to see it display in my own language.

if you have a cbz/r file that is not working, open a ticket and attach the file. Cover browser is really just a "cosmetic" feature, eventually I will implement a cover based table view for browsing your collection by covers. But yes, if you type a search query first, the cover browser will only show the covers of books matching your query.

As for a roadmap, calibre is developed so quickly that maintaing a roadmap is pretty pointless

Thanks for the answer

I forgot one more question:

I am an architect and many of my books relate to the profession. How can I separate architectural books from all the others? Can I?

I thought this big white bar can store more libraries but apparently it is only for the devices. Correct?

Add a custom tag to your architecture books. Then a search for that tag will show only your architecture books.

It will eventually be able to show more libraries. In the meantime you can launch calibre with the --with-library option to manage separate libraries.

Thank you, both

I figured out the tags, the series option is useful as well. I guess I'll play some more with it=)
