Just ebayed an iliad

Don't have it yet, but I'm looking forward to the experience. Have a few questions from the perspective of being a new owner, yet not having the hardware in my hands just yet.

1) The system is based on Linux with X11 as a display server and GTK the default widget toolkit. Right?

2) Who in their right minds chose X11 given the slow refresh rate of eink?

3) Has anyone at iRex considered GnuStep's Display Postscript module for X11?

Display Postscript should provide better font handling, similar to DPDF in use on MacOS X.

Oh yeah, is there a dev package for the Iliad like there is for the DR1000S?

2: X11 rules! (stable and reliable for over 20 years)
3: ask Irex ;-), (i.m.o. there's nothing worng with fonts on the Iliad)
