Hello for Longwood, Florida

I stumbled upon this forum in Twitter and thought I would join in on discussions about reading and stuff. I love my Kindle and enjoy working with wood which the combination of both created my new business of building stand s for ebooks, like Kindles and Sony readers, as well as, for books like cookbooks, etc... I just finished reading Robert Fulghum's "What On Earth Have I Done" which I enjoyed thoroughly. I found it refreshing and thought provoking because of his ability to turn almost all situations into positive or learning experiences. I especially like the way he can point out different views of situations most of us are either find indifferent or are irritated by. I also enjoy reading Bill Bryson's books as well. I just finished his " A Short History of Nearly Everything " last week and found it to be absolutely fascinating and highly recommend it to anyone, especially those interested in history and science.

I read "A Short History of Nearly Everything" as well and really liked it. He takes the expansive subject matter and explains it very clearly.

Hi dogearstands and welcome to MobileRead. I'm about half way through "A Short History of Nearly Everything" and thoroughly enjoying it.

Another great Bryson book was "The Mother Tongue". It's a fascinating study of the English language.

I will definitely read "The Mother Tongue", I also enjoyed " A Sunburned Country" a great explanation of Australia. It's a fascinating country and now I want to go there more than ever.

Here are some pix of my stands. I didn't want to just throw them out here being new. I thought I would have been treated lake spam or a creepy advertising mongol or something.
