Hello from Ottawa

Hi everyone,

I'm an historical fiction fanatic currently blazing through CS Forester's
Hornblower series and loving every broadside! Unfortunately I just killed my Sony prs-500 but my 700 should be here early next week.
Anyways, I look forward to meeting everyone

All the best!
Ron

Hi Ron and welcome to MobileRead. How did you off your 500?

Meanwhile, if you like historical fiction, try the Flashman series; interesting, funny and very accurate

Hi Ron, greetings from Vanouver and welcome to MobileRead.

Since you've already had a Sony and have another model on order there is no need to advise you in your choice of device, although I admit it is a good one since I have a PRS700 myself.

Lots of books available here that look good in the .lrf format, and also ePub format which the PRS700 can read.

Your avatar looks "Uplanddish", if you get my drift?

Come join the banter in the lounge, or some more serious discussion in a forum that is right-now being decided upon by the members here.

Please wander around MR and enjoy your finds, some treasures can be found.

WDE.

Thanks a million guys I killed my 500 lifting a TV set out of a trunk. I had forgotten it was in my jacket pocket as I picked up the TV in a bear hug. Anyways, It was comical as I kicked myself in the ars* a thousand times Good thing I have 2 legs and not just 1. It would have been really funny! Thanks for the advice on the Flashman series Cassidym. I have the whole series sitting in Calibre waiting to be read.
My 700 just arrived about 45 minutes ago. I love it!!!
Thanks again for the warm welcome
