All you get is the text content of the pdf, but it's still better than nothing
![]() I've seen µbook running on a workmate's VGA ipaq, and it's just beautiful.... then I had to go back and use my h1930 *sigh* Craig. |

I have to agree.. I've been messing with the trial for a couple of days, and was so impressed that I had to register. The UI took some getting used to, but it tops out my previously favorite reader the now-defunct DeepReader for PalmOS.
If support for encrypted eReader books could ever be added (wishful thinking, I know), it would quickly become the only ebook software on my Axim. And it DOES look gorgeous in VGA... ![]() |

Sad, but true.. I had to repurchase eReader as well when i made the platform switch. It makes me wonder what eReader makes money off of - books, or software?
But we can talk till the cows com home about how open cross platform standards would boost the e-book industry.. ![]() |

Yeah, I own registered copies of ereader, isilo, mobipocket, µbook and repligo, but still use µbook for almost all my mainstream reading. It's just so flexible and is made for open format reading.

Buy all your new ebooks in lit format from amazon. You get the best price, but can also read it in uBook *ahem*

I must admit, this seems to be the best choice, especially if you still want to read the books you pay for in 10 years time. And µboko is perfect for this

Okay, I'm about to make myself look silly, I'm sure. But are you guys referring to reading .lit files via convertlit, or are you saying that ubook can really read .lit, or are you just kidding around tongue in cheek? Help out this naive soul, please!

Bob, the .lit ebooks need to be, ahh, pre-processed.
![]() But purchasing books in .lit and then processing them for other readers will make the fancy layouts (graphic insets etc) go away, but I guess it's a small price to pay for portability. |

I've found the loss of layout minimal, at worst. The html created still has the graphics/images, tables, etc all in place, so whatever you then use to read the text should pick all that up.
