Waterstones UK & "About the Size of It"

Although I bought my reader last October I have only just decided to read the free excerpts on it. One of them is "About the Size of It" by Warwick Cairns. Quite an interesting book about the history of measurement systems, I thought--might buy that. But can I find it on the Waterstones site? They have paperback and hardback editions, but they do not seem to have the ebook. I also can't find it on Fictionwise or BooksOnBoard.

If you search BoB for "About the Size of It" you get back "Size Matters: The Hard Facts About Male Sexuality That Every Woman Should Know", which tickled my rather puerile sense of humour.

Anyway, a black mark against Waterstones.

It does seem rather odd that they would have a free sample of a book that they do not sell!

Perhaps the publisher changed their mind about releasing the book after publishing the sample. Certainly not Waterstones "fault"

Even the author's own site just refers to there being an electronic extract available, not an eBook, so I suspect it's his publishers (Macmillian) rather than Waterstone's!
