Comparison to Quick News
Hi Laurens,
I recently came across Quick News which is an RSS reader for the Palm OS. I imagine that this may be the closest competitor to your commercial app? The big differences I see are that your product will support viewing html documents as well, and Quick News allows updates done directly on the PDA. Are their other big difference between the two products? Is the beta version of the commercial product still scheduled for a May 2005 release... I'm getting excited to try it out. Thanks! |

I haven't tried out Quick News yet, so I can't comment. I'm sure there will be enough differences between the two products to cater for different audiences.
The beta won't be ready in May. The viewer has been working for some time already, but it's not yet as polished as it should be. I'm currently rewriting the desktop portion in C++, which adds to the workload. It's hard to give an estimate at this point. I'm not going to rush things, though. |
