What was the 1st EVER Kindle book you ever read? Ah... Memories

Now that a lot of us have our 2nd gen Kindle's we're just so used to reading on them. But remember that feeling we all had when we finished our FIRST book on our first eReader (at least most of us it was our first) Kindle.

So lets think back, what was the first book you read start to finish on your kindle? Is there an interesting story behind it? Were you forced? Were you laughed at? Were your friends and family supporting :-P?

Me?

I'm an early adopter of technology, so I was excited to try it out.

I reread my all time favorite fun-to-read-sci-fi Ender's Game. I probably finished it in a few days. I really couldn't put my Kindle down and people, seemed to look at me funny when I was reading in public (that is, only when I noticed, when my eyes glanced up from the page).

Now, of course, it's much more well known an popular, and people usually just ask me if I like reading it.

Hmm. My first Kindle book. I had to check my Amazon records for this. It was "The Omnivore's Dilemma." by Michael Pollan.

FWIW, my first e-book was a *long* time ago; I think it may have been "Diplomatic Immunity" by Lois McMaster Bujold by way of Baen Books. I read it all on the computer.

I think e-book readers are a big improvement over computers, even notebooks, and my Kindle is a big improvement over my Palm TX (though the TX is easier to carry around than the Kindle, FWIW.)

I remember it well!

Blonde Faith, by Walter Mosley. Great new tech + one of my favorite authors, what could be better?

Since the K2 is my first E-reader... I remember it like it was just yesterday.

Oh, wait... it was just yesterday. I finished UR by Stephen King.

Currently half-way (47%) through World War Z by Max Brooks.

Next up: Mage-Guard of hamor by L. E. Modesitt

I got my kindle in December and at that time Charlie Huston had three books free on Amazon. I read those first.

Where'd you find Ender's game? Not in Amazon...

I bought The Assault on Reason by Al Gore.
