Inofficial WarCraft II port for Pocket PC
![]() To actually play WarCraft II on your Pocket PC, you also need to have (legal) access to the original WarCraft II (DOS edition) graphic and sound files. |

This is the holy grail of the PPC, IMHO. I've got it working on my rusty old 200MHz h1930, it it _works_, even if a little slow. I am so chuffed!!!
![]() BTW, the download I grabbed had all the wc2 files necessary to play, except the orders and objectives were in russian (not an issue for me as I had to the DOS cd anyway). I can only imagine how good it would look and play on a fast VGA machine. Are you going to try it, Alex? Craig. |

The game looks gorgeous on a VGA device. I only had a problem with the controls; sometimes when I pressed the bottom left navigation icons (Build House, etc.), the built-in keyboard screen popped up. It seems as if the graphics of WC2 were on top of the keyboard and it was almost impossible to close the keyboard again and use the navigation. Weird, but I am sure they are going to fix that. Well and then if they could add Sound to the whole picture, I would be a happy camper

I haven't tried it yet, but I read on one of the forums you can get sound if you copy the relevant sound files over from where you extracted them in desktop Wargus. I might try this out tonight or tomorrow (though I don't really need the sound, it would be nice, and doesn't add any extra slowdown, apparantly).
