Quick Question about a Kindle
I have a friend who is thinking of purhasing a kindle and we are wondering if you can read read non drm books on it. I live in Canada so I have never looked into the kindle before (I am very happy with my Sony) but she is American and is interested in getting a reader and is leaning towards the kindle.

You can read non drm books on the Kindle as long as it is in a supported format.

...which basically is Mobipocket (.mobi, .prc, .azw) or PDF.
And of course you can convert your files via "calibre" and other tools into one of these formats.
