Hello all!
I have a Sony 505 on the way from Expansys ; anybody here see the refurbs they have? Pretty attractive price-point. I bit on it. I suppose it was inevitable. Between my loves of gadgets and reading it was like a moth to a flame. I want to thank you all for this vibrant community ; I've learned a lot here already.
The Sony seemed like the right one for me because of the text clarity and the ease of adding materials. I also have work related material in pdf that will come up quite readable on the screen. I've shrunk them on my PC screen to the approximate size of the Sony and it looks just fine. AAnywaayyy......thanks

Oh yeah. Those refurbs look good to me! That's what I ordered. That's why I'm here. I can hardly wait.

Hello and welcome! You should download the Sony software now so you can get a better idea of what the docs will look like. You can get it at ebookstore.sony.com.

After you upload a book (File/import file), click the book in the library and somewhere on the bottom there's a funny icon, puts it on full screen. It's easier to navigate, if you just click the book it's hard to scroll through. Hope this helps

Great idea lilac_jive! Will do that immediately! BTW, I've never ordered from Expansys before; has anybody had any experience with them before? Just trying to get a feel for how long it should take. I only ordered it on Monday but I am just that impatient!

Oh, and Thanks All for the welcome!

Wolfy, what color did you get? When I ordered they had the blue for $162 and the silver for $179. Today they are just $1 apart I liked the silver a little more at first but for 10% less I can deal with blue. Looks like a very dark blue, nearly black, in the photos I've seen.

I got the silver reader. Those dark blue ones look pretty sweet though. They must be selling like hot cakes. Last I checked, they were out of dark blue and the stock availability of the silver had gone down significantly.

You'll like the blue. Makes the page pop out more. I have one

Hi makincheez and welcome to the Forum. I've had a blue 505 for a little over a year and like it a lot.
