Coverless...
I dropped my reader last night... Softly. Onto a matress...
And the plastic clip of the cover snapped. |

Bummer Riocaz. You might replace it with the Sony cover with the integrated light.
Or, I use both the MEdge Executive and Leisure covers and like them fine. You can get details here https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...ighlight=medge And they will accept a UK Visa card. And, hows this for customer support. The zipper broke on the Leisure cover so I sent MEdge an email asking how much it would cost to get repaired and, bang, they sent me a new one, no charge. Be sure and let us know what you end up doing. |

Me too. I have a clip on light that works just fine. If I needed a light most of the time, I'd get the integrated light but, for my uses, the clip on light works fine.

Anyone know how long shipping from m-edge generally takes?
I'm not sure how long I want to go coverless. And Waterstones is just up the road... |

It's amazing how much lighter (given that the cover isn't exactly heavy, nowhere near the weight of the reader itself) and flimsier the reader feels without the cover.
Not to mention the difference in grip |

As it holds the reader via a very different method (4 corner tabs) it completely replaces the original cover.
http://www.buymedge.com/p_Sony505Expics.html I was considering the bookarmor cover too (as it has a backstrap for holding it more easily with one hand). But it apparently requires the original cover. Which seemed pretty much pointless to me. Last edited by Riocaz; 01-19-2009 at 09:53 AM. |

I have just a slip on cover for my reader that goes over the original just to give it some spunk. |

I've found MEdge to be pretty responsive. OTOH, they are only 60 miles away from where I live and considerably farther from the UK. But I am pleased with both the Executive and Leisure covers.

I have the executive and leisure cover from m-edge and really like them. The leisure is used when working out and don't want to get perspiration on the screen. The executive is nicely padded and used when I travel as it has pockets for boarding passes and credit cards/identification cards.

Does the small strap for keeping the cover closed not get in the way? I was thinking of buying but this turned me off. Is it not kind of flapping around as you read? |

It doesn't bother me at all. I keep it trapped between the front and back covers when I have it opened and the front cover folded onto the back.

cassidym is correct. The front cover will fold around to the back then the small strap will fold backwards and tuck into the regular slot.
