Proposed mobile phone RSS feed reader interface
This looks like something I'd really like to see on a mobile phone. You can find his demo Javascript application shown in a picture of a mobile phone shell here. He's also offering a free copy for your web pages, if you want to provide this interface to users. He says there are some bugs, but encourages people to give it a test drive. It will be interesting to see where this leads. There is clearly a lot of competition in the area of content interfaces on devices. But I'm sure we are all quite happy to see a multitude of new and improved interfaces for mobile devices, especially those who are using devices with smaller screens. Whether successful on their own or not, a wide variety of early solutions will certainly help to make the our future solutions better. Last edited by BobR; 04-05-2006 at 10:24 PM. Reason: Spelling |

I was reading this not to long ago, and while I think that its a heck of a nice idea. I'd like to see it without having to use Java. Something coded in DHTML (AJAX princpals or not) could easily work with any phone, and it would be as simple as saving a favorite, instead of downloading an app.
As a recent new user to QuickNews, I have to say that this interface really trumps what I have come to like with QN's interface. Shoot, if the PalmOS could do a native AJAX app, QN would be dang near perfect (at least when connected wirelessly). |

Thanks for the pointer, Bob. Just in case you've been looking for the download link (as I was), it's mentioned here:
