Is Kobo Libra Colour upgradable?

Thinking about upgrading from the libra 2 to the libra colour. Does anyone know if there is still an sd card that can be upgraded in the colour?

No SD card. Most of the recent devices don't have an SD card

I wonder why they got rid of it… it's one of the few things I dislike about the Clara Colour, especially because the Kobo actually supports CBZ so I plan to fill up the storage with manga

The Libra Colour, Clara Colour and Clara BW have fixed eMMC storage. eMMC has higher speed and a longer write lifetime.

also the capacity of the built in storage should be enough.

If I was able to bring my Libra 2 back to life, it's thanks to the fact that I could replace the faulty microSD card myself.
Perhaps an eMMC is less prone to failure than a microSD.

eMMCs tend to have longer write lifespans than µSD cards but it's still finite. I have a couple of devices where the eMMC has gone read-only and it's not worth the time and effort to remove and replace the chip. Decent surface mount rework stations are not cheap.

So at the end of the day, having swappable microSD cards instead of soldered storage is more environmentally friendly.

That's one of the reasons why I plunged on a near mint purchase of the Libra 2. It's the latest device what has both USBC and up-gradable storage. For my use cases, 128gb is the bare minimum, maybe even 64gb. Sadly the Libra 2 is quite rare now and mint condition ones are even rarer, not to mention the price hike due to its rarity.

Also, seems like the battery can be upgraded as well with around a doubling in capacity.
