Burkeswood, Buckminster: 2 Pulps - The Sedna Incident and The World Splitter

Some folks say the pulp era died in a ditch somewhere between the moon landing and the first iPhone, but I never bought the obituary. I’ve always figured the spirit was still out there stumbling around in sketchy Converse sneakers, muttering about space monsters, radio static, and bad decisions.

So I stitched together this little two-story collection as proof the old ghosts still twitch. These two short stories were written under my pen name, Buckminster Burkeswood.

Inside you’ll find two very different brands of trouble.
Story One: The Sedna Incident: A crew of explorers crash-lands on Sedna, a distant planetoid where the atmosphere gnaws at the lungs and the jungles feel alive in all the wrong ways. As they push deeper into the toxic wilderness, the planet reveals predators, poisons, and terrors that make survival feel like a temporary privilege. Paranoia grows when they realize something far worse than the jungle followed them down.

Story Two: The World Splitter: The story of a brilliant oddball who looks at world politics, shrugs, and decides he’ll fix the whole mess himself. His solution isn’t subtle, sensible, or remotely sane, but it’s spectacular enough to make the universe nervous.

I noticed a lot of stuff out in the world now is either great or crap. But what about that warm, crunchy middle zone? The kind of lower mid-level crap pulp that smells like yellowed paperbacks and grandpa's smoking chair. Ok, ok, so maybe way lower mid-level. My specialty!

Just so ya know, my description of these stories is probably better than the stories themselves. Consider this your friendly warning label, friends. If that’s your flavor, crack this thing open and dive in.
