Sigil 2.7.0 and automate lists
I have just upgraded from sigil 2.6.2 to sigil 2.7.0 on a windows 11 pro machine with the latest updates.
When using 2.6.2 my three automate lists functioned well (today). Now, after the upgrade I still see the three automate icons on my toolbar, but they do not do anything anymore. Looking at the release notes of 2.7.0 it says the old system was REPLACED with a dynamic menu. So, no surprise the old automate lists do not work anymore as they were replaced. But I can not find this dynamic menu, nor how to configure it. Looking at the online sigil manual, it seems to talk about the automate lists before there was a dynamic menu. Any pointers as to how to get this dynamic menu would be much appreciated.

Yes, go to Sigil Preferences and enable the Automation menu (just like the Develop menu in most browsers).
Then use that menu and assign your existing automation list to the 3 fast launch icons and you are back launching them exactly as before. The new Automation menu will allow you to add new/more automation lists named as you like (within limits). You can also edit, delete, and rename automation lists, as well as run them. Think something more like the Plugins menu. Last edited by KevinH; 12-01-2025 at 02:52 PM. |

ps. I have not yet had time to update the users guide, and would welcome volunteer(s) to do that.
Check out the last new features request thread here on MR. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=370014 See posts 56, 101, 105, 121 in particular in that thread. It is a long discussion, but informative. It even documents 2 new conditional automation list commands that can now be used on saved searches. Last edited by KevinH; 12-01-2025 at 03:08 PM. |

I had looked at the preferences, but not the main UI Tab.
