Sony Clie OS6 this year? (we know that sounds crazy)

We know it sounds crazy and honestly don't know what to make out of this rumor, but supposedly Sony did not completely abandon the Clie series and is in fact planning to introduce a Clie with OS6 to the market this year. At least this is what some guy from Mexico claims to have heard from his Sony contacts. We would be very surprised if that was true since Sony had made it quite clear in the past that it would not be part of the PDA game anymore.

Perhaps it was misunderstood and Sony is in fact planning to release an OS6 device, though not based on a PDA but on the Vaio entertainment line?

Noo please not again! Please let's face it: Sony left the train. There ain't no more Clie, not now nor in the future.

I wish it were true, but they are not going to leave only to return. Makes no financial or marketing sense. Now could they release a product with Palm OS6 on it? Maybe, but the CLIE is certainly done in the USA, unless they found lucrative market$.

I doubt it. For a lot of reasons. But one clincher is that I believe I just saw recently that Sony is withdrawing from the Clie market even in Japan. Anyone else see that?
