Hi,
I distinctly remember there was an option on my GC7 where you could set the behaviour of the physical buttons to volume or page turn/scroll. I was looking for this option last night & cannot find it anywhere. ![]() Has it gone? or moved somewhere? Have I gone stupid? (dont answer that - haha) Please can you give me exact info how to find that option - thank you! ----- - This came about because when using NeoReader & looking up a word, occasionally the word is not defined in the Dict. So I click the {globe} Search icon & it opens a web browser view. Im not exactly sure what this browser is, it seems to be built-in to NeoReader. Anyway, the physical buttons now act as Volume instead of scroll in this sub-browser & Id rather scroll on a web page. So I was looking for that option. There's the standard Linux key mapping that's built into Android.
Then there's the goofy key mapping that Onyx inserted in framework.jar I don't know much about that because I always disable it. The Onyx mapping can handle short/long presses which means even a PgDn from a real keyboard does not react until you release the key. Your solution? I don't know. I just disable the Onyx stuff, use reasonable keylayouts and make sure my apps handle keys. |

I'm not sure what you explaining to me, sorry.
I just want to know where in the user settings i can change the physical up/down button between scroll & volume. I remember seeing it before, but I cant find it now. I looks like this.... APP Name ............... Button function -------------------------------------------------- NeoReader ..................scroll VLC .............................Volume Firefox .........................scroll I would expect it to be in SETTINGS > SMART BUTTON SETTINGS But that only shows (direction <>) & long-press Last edited by RodRiquez; 11-01-2025 at 07:55 AM. |

OK I found it finally!
But it is completely different from before, probably changed after an update. APPS > hold finger on App Icon (eg: neobrowser) > OPTIMIZE > OTHERS Tab > Customise Buttons Unfortunately, this doesnt allow me to alter the sub-browser in NeoReader because theres no NeoReader app.
