				Customize interface, Macros, Buttons

Hi! 1) Is it possible to create and save custom scripts/macros or links, etc.? 2) Is it possible to create a second toolbar (not the one at the bottom). Save these macros as a button on the toolbar, similar to the "customize interface" of many programs like Excel, Word, Photoshop and others ? Explanation: I would like to use this to: -store frequently used searches -select virtual libraries faster -editing workflows for quick access without having to navigate through dropdown menus (like Favourites plugin). For Example: Find Duplicates - similair Author Names Find Duplicates - Find Duplicates Quality Check - search for Authors with missing Comma Quality Check - search for missing Comments and so on... I also use Mass Search/Replace with some single or combined actions, but its also in a dropdown burried. Any idea is very welcome from my inner Mr. Monk Last edited by Vampi2009; 07-27-2025 at 08:49 AM. Reason: add example |

You mean like this?: As you can see I have virtual libraries that I leave tabbed at all times, just a click to go to that library. The tag browser has a saved search. https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/gui.html#tag-browser Yes you want the optional second tool bar: bernie Quote:

Thanks for a quick answer. I have a second toolbar at the bottom. What I mean is a toolbar where I can dock my OWN Buttons (like macros), not the one from calibre. I want to be able to record like makros and dock them there. I fould a solution in using Viewmanager - where I can save the virtual librarys with individual columns. Like a work view with just the essentials and the 1 day view with the new added books only, or like a missing comment view. That works perfect. BUT I want to have them as single buttons to click at a toolbar, not in the Virtual Library as dropdown. This is just a example. I also use Favorites, where I can dock my often used actions/plugins, but this is also a dropdown and I have to click like 5 in a row. I dont want them as dropdown. I also will explain why: I suffer from chemo side effects and have polyneuropathy - numb fingers and its hard to click the dropdown and keep them open untill I have them clicked. Maybe there is a solution? |
