ePub-Sony 505 slow table of contents?

Hi all--

I've just started experimenting with e-Pub files on my 505. I've converted a couple myself using Calibre and have downloaded one from here (the Holy Bible-King James Version).

What I've noticed is that every time I access the table of contents for one of my e-Pub files, it takes a while on my Reader (usually get the spinning arrow). Just wondering if this is normal or if there is anything I could try to speed this up.

Thanks--that's what I figured the answer would be.

I was hoping I could speed up my reader a little, because for some reason I do prefer the e-pub format. But, with my reading style, I like to access the table of contents frequently (to determine how long the next chapter is going to be, etc.) and for that LRF seems to work quite a bit better.

Yeah, SONY/Adobe should change their reader to keep the Table of Contents cached so it doesn't have to be re-parsed everytime

agreed page turnover and contacts refresh is a tad slow, but i have got used to it, and wouldnt swop

Slowness of epub on 505 completely turn me off the format.
