Free Sci-Fi novel: Menoetius by Jeff Lait

I'm a huge fan of Jeff's rogue-like adventure game, Powder, and just learned that he has released a sci-fi novel called Menoetius. He accepts donations for those who enjoy the electronic version and provides supplementary materials to those who do (and to those who purchase a physical copy).

Weistling thought the greatest challenge facing him was his next grant application. If he had known that his actions could precipitate a galaxy-spanning war that would destroy thousands of worlds, he would no doubt have paid more attention.

He will find one consolation in the ensuing events: he does get the grant.

Menoetius is a 200 page science fiction story written by Jeff Lait for the 2005 NaNoWriMo. After three years slowly polishing and reworking it, he declared ready for publication.

He offers electronic versions in ASCII and HTML currently but Jeff seems very open to providing other formats if someone would kindly do the conversions (I'm looking at you, super-converting-MobileRead-members).

From his site:

You are allowed to modify the work to properly format it for your electronic book reader, ie, convert the provided files into whatever type of file best works for your needs.

Please feel free to send me any conversions to new formats! Provided they are DRM free, I can post them here.

Read this thread and thought I would get the mobi and convert to sony myself. Discovered link to sony version is now there as well.
