Book shows as "on device" but does not show in my Kindle library

I am using the Kindle App on the Samsung Tab S6 Lite and the most up to date Calibre version. I have attempted to upload a book to my library multiple times. Calibre says it's on my device but it is not showing in my library. I have removed it and reuploaded as well as shut down the program and my tablet many times. I converted the item to .mobi thinking it would help but still nothing.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

On Device means just that. Somewhere on the device that Calibre can see (and has not been excluded)
You need to adjust the Calibre device template (do when the device is connected) to include the path to the Kindle app STORAGE (it only looks there)
This is for my old TABA

Hi, I know this post is years old at this point, but I am having this exact problem and trying to utilize this advice, but I have no idea where to find the Calibre device template in the current update of Calibre. None of the preference settings or template settings look like the screenshot shown. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wellll Calibre has evolved and that includes various GUI looks.

Connect the device: Right click, the device view icon: Configure...

Now I'm not sure what folder they go in for them to show up. I'm trying to shove them into my Pixel 5's library. I tried Android/data/com.amazon.kindle/files, which is where all the other books are stored, but still not showing up. Any advice?
Getting these over 50mb books into my library has been a nightmare :<

If you look at Send to Device in calibre's preferences, you will find a template which is the default template for sending ebooks to a device. This should be overridden by the device specific template. When I used to use my Android tablet, I think I used /sdcard/Android/data/com.amazon.kindle/files as the destination directory.

I've altered the device configuration setting to make Android/data/com.amazon.kindle/files the destination, and the books show that is where they went when moved, but still not visible in library

I'm not sure I understand the template stuff in preferences, what and where should I be altering it? Right now the default field says {author_sort}/{title} - {authors}

Also I apologize for how dumb I must seem with this stuff, I have no experience with code or calibre, I just wanted giant file size comics in my library, but had no idea it was going to be such an undertaking

I appreciate all the guidance you all have provided though!
