Optional Second Toolbar
I added buttons to it. See no way to hide it except remove all buttons again. I had impression it was optional as in able to be hidden?

The option is whether to use it.

I Moved Library General items (Kiwidudes PI make most of the appearances ).

The Main Toolbar, then has Book specific (with and without device options)
As always YMMV

No qt doesnt support toolbars with centered icons

Look at using the Favourites plugin. You can add other less used plugins to that to create a drop down and then you can get rid of the 2nd toolbar.
