Please i need help (kindle touch jailbreak)

First of all, thank you for taking the time to read. My device is kindle touch D01200 version 5.3. 7.3 The first method I tried was to copy the data.tar.gz file, which I thought was compatible with my device, to my home directory and reset the device, but it didn't work. Then, of course, after copying the other files in the folder to my root directory, I tried to update the device with the file (Update_jailbreak_hotfix_1.16.N_install.bin) but I failed again. My question to you now is, do I need to downgrade this device or is this a version that is impossible to crack directly?

Sounds like you used the wrong method. You should have done this:
  1. Download the K5 JailBreak (5.0.x - 5.4.4.2) package from the snapshots thread.
  2. Find the kindle-5.4-jailbreak.zip file and unzip the contents to your Kindle's root directory.
  3. Select the Update Your Kindle option in the settings menu and wait until the words **** JAILBREAK **** appear at the bottom of your screen.
  4. Select the Restart option in the settings menu, and wait for your Kindle to restart.

I followed the process exactly as you said, I got an error when I pressed the update button and the device reopened, but no text appeared, and the update button turned gray, so I couldn't try again. When I did a reset, the update button was still deactivated.

kindle-5.4-jailbreak.zip contains seven files:
  • bridge.conf
  • bridge.sh
  • developer.keystore
  • gandalf
  • jb.sh
  • json_simple-1.1.jar
  • Update_jb_$(cd mnt && cd us && sh jb.sh).bin

Only those files should have been copied to your Kindle's root directory. No other files should have been copied to your Kindle.

Thank you very much my friend, I have been reading all the sources for almost 6 hours and I am definitely an idiot engineer.

You cannot downgrade without first being jailbroken.

You should have used KUAL-KDK-2.0.azw2 for Kindle Touch. The 1.0 file is for older Kindle models.

Also, you need to install the DevCerts update from here:

Unhappy

I tried all the certificates I could find. The device had a certificate for MKK installed, but I couldn't install the Kual application in any way. Methods like Mrpi didn't work either. I reset the device to factory settings and installed jailbreak/hotfix/bridge/MKK from scratch again and I didn't get any errors, but I still can't get past the Kual certificate problem. I don't know what I need. Should I install an additional certificate using USBNetwork? Please help :´´(

Yesterday, instead of downloading the rar file in the link, I downloaded the develper.keystore file from the "here" button and then tried to put it in the mentioned location. When it didn't work, I uploaded different mkk files for the k5 version, but I didn't see the rar file below. Sorry and thanks for your help.
