Ao3 updater plugin on KOReader?
Does such a thing exist? I saw Rakuyomi, which can query and download new updates to manga chapters, etc., so I had wondered if there was anything similar for Archive Of Our Own, a popular fanfiction website. It has site side built-in downloading options for various ereader formats so I thought maybe someone had made something to check for new chapters and update selected fics for you and/or maintain reading progress with the "new" file.
Maybe not something specifically for Ao3, but is there anything like it that could be tweaked to do so? |

IDK if anyone has a Koreader plugin for this, but I think most people use Calibre and the Fanficfare plugin to manage their fics in this vein, and use the FFF 'Get story URLs from email' to periodically update fics via work/series/author subscriptions to AO3. It's less likely to get you blocked than selecting dozens of in-progress fics and running FFF's 'Update existing fanfiction books' all at once (which is more likely now with the rate-limiting they've got in place).

That's does make a lot of sense, it's just that my problem with Calibre is having to be at the computer to set it all up when I'd rather be able to just do it from my device as soon as I know there's an update via an email to my phone.
All that said, my brother did manage to bang something out relatively simple for those with small subscription lists! Ao3updater.koplugin is here if anyone else would like to try and add any pull requests or whatnot. It's bare bones but what I was hoping for in making the Koreader device its own central station for adding and updating fic. |

I'm not sure. I think there was a point he was throwing things at a wall to see what worked and then once it worked he set it down and stepped away before it exploded. Might be literally nothing, haha.
