Just out of interest: Why this style for title capitalization?
Hi,
while researching title capitalization style guides I wondered how Calibre does things and found this comment in the code. According to this, Calibre follows the NY Times style with a slight modification. I'm sure there are good reasons for that, but I couldn't find any explanation. So, why that style? This is not a complaint or feature request, I'm just curious. Thanks! |

IIRC that code came from some third party library originally. You'd have to ask its creators why they decided to add v and vs to the list of small words. Seems fairly uncontroversial to me.
