kindle previewer layout issue

Hi there. I have an issue with my text layout in kindle. see previewer page with text which appears forced left for some reason. can't figure out why. there are places in the text its fine and other places some paragraphs are forced left. see attached Kindle previewer page and then the code in sigil.

any help appreciated. once I can do one I'll do the others. there's about 20 in the book.

Sorry but the first image is not from Sigil. Perhaps it would be easier using calibre to install the ScrambleEpub plugin and then post the scrambled book.

the italic text uses <span class="char-Normal-Local-32">

the rest uses <span class="char-Normal-Local-42">

Sorry but we still need to see the scrambled book to see how the different styles affect each other. Cascading style sheet. Your paragraph will be affected by all the relevant styles not just the paragraph and italic styles.
