Screensavers of kindle demo mode - available somewhere?

Hey, I found this forum today and I jailbroke my old Kindle Voyage (unfortunately my paperwhite has auto-updated beyond the vulnerable version :'( )

But during the process you have to factory reset it and then enable demo mode. I noticed that in this mode it has some really cool screensavers. They were kinda cartoony with a house and I think a dragon.

The standard ones are super boring and I know I can put my own with the screensaver app but I would kinda like to keep the demo mode ones. Does anyone know if these are available on the filesystem somewhere so I can set them up in KOReader and in the screensaver app?

PS Thanks for the clear guide! I hope there will be a jailbreak for the newer software versions too at some point. But I guess it depends on someone finding a vulnerability.

@Rono Check the contents of "/usr/share/blanket/screensaver", see of those pngs are there. If not look around level or two up.

Thank you!!

However I have one stupid question (sorry). I just checked and even after the jailbreak I only see a limited filesystem over USB. Is there another way to get to this? I did some searches but I can't really find it sorry

Lol, you can't access that over regular USB connection

Your options are:

1) if you're using KOreader use its built-in File Manager to browse Kindle's file system (you'll maybe need to change the settings to make it display unsupported file types?).
Then you can copy the png file from that location into "/mnt/us" ( = what you see on your computer via USB cable).

2) install and use "kterm" if you familiar with using terminal / "command line" commands to navigate and copy files

3) install USBNetwork hack and setup SSH connection over USB cable and do the command line staff that way

4) instead of access files directly from your Kindle alternative approach would be downloading firmware bin file from Amazon's site > use "kindletool" to unpack that bin installer > open the roofs img file in something like 7zip and then go to that stated folder location inside the img/archive file

5) have someone else extract and send all screensaver images to your.

Option #1 is probably the easiest method for average Kindle user

To cast some cold water on the discussion, the demo mode screensavers are not found in /usr/share/blanket/screensaver.

Ah I see :'( Any idea where they could be found? They must be somewhere because they appeared in the demo mode after resetting my kindle and before connecting to wifi.

But anyway maybe in kterm (or the USB network thing) I can do a find for *.png or something.
