How to batch export FB2 files in Calibre while keeping original filenames?

Hi everyone,

I need to batch re-save a large number of .fb2 files using Calibre, but I want to preserve their original filenames when saving them to disk.

I’ve noticed that Calibre uses filename templates when exporting files, but I couldn’t figure out which template would allow me to keep the current file names exactly as they are.

Is there a way to do this — maybe using {basename} (not working) or something similar in the template settings?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That depends on the original filenames. But most likely not.

Calibre does not retain original file names, if you want to do that there's an optional plugin ==>> GetFileName

It runs when a book is added, so it cannot be applied to existing books, although there's no reason why the custom columns it uses couldn't be set manually.
